Comprehensive Pool Demolition Process

Pool demolition involves several key steps to prepare for a renovation or remodel.

Planning and Permits The pool demolition process begins with planning and permits. We’ll coordinate with local authorities to secure the necessary permits and ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, we’ll plan the new landscape for the space after the pool is removed.

Drain the Pool Next, we’ll drain the pool using a submersible pump, ensuring proper drainage to avoid flooding nearby areas.

Disconnect Utilities Following this, we will disconnect utilities by cutting off the power and water connections related to the pool.

Remove Pool Structure In the demolition phase, we’ll start by removing any surrounding decking. Depending on whether the pool is inground or above ground, we’ll use a jackhammer, sledgehammer, or excavator to dismantle the pool structure, with concrete pools requiring more intensive effort.

Remove Debris Once the pool is dismantled, we’ll collect and dispose of all debris.

Fill the Hole We will then proceed to fill the hole with clean fill dirt or gravel, compacting each layer to prevent settling. If you plan to landscape the area afterward, we’ll add a layer of topsoil for planting.

Compact the Fill After filling, we’ll use a compactor to ensure the fill settles properly.

Level the Ground We will then level the ground to match the surrounding landscape, creating a smooth surface for future use.

Final Touches For the final touches, you may choose to plant grass, install sod, or create a garden in the former pool area.

Clean Up Finally, we will clean up the site, removing any excess debris and ensuring the area is ready for its new use.
